La Roux to Appear on MTV
South London synth-pop sensation La Roux have been chosen by MTV for the networks illustrious Discover & Download program which showcases new music from the most exciting emerging artists. The video for the lead single “Bulletproof” has been added into rotation at MTV, MTV2 and MTV Hits. Rotation begins today (Oct 12) and MTV.com will offer up a free download of the track “Tigerlily” off of La Roux’s self titled debut which hit via Cherrytree Records on September 29th.
La Roux’s Elly Jackson is sick of her female fans flashing their breasts at her.
The 21-year-old electro-pop singer has a very distinct style but told Heat magazine she is fed up of everyone assuming she is a lesbian.
Elly said: “Everyone just thinks I’m raging lesbian and I want to see everyone’s boobs - sorry, I’m not.”
21-year-old Elly Jackson and co-songwriter/co-producer Ben Langmaid, who are La Roux, have made an impressive impact on UK’s music scene since joining forces two years ago.
