Courtney Sale Ross and the Ross Global Academy
Ross Global Academy was founded in 2006 and was the first of several very classy, very New Age and very modern educational institutions like The Ross School in East Hampton, New York. The institute was established by Courtney Sale Ross and her late husband, Time Warner CEO Steven Ross.
Like the rest of the Ross Institutions, Ross Global Academy revolves around the Ross Model of education that was established by Courtney Sale Ross herself. Its philosophy also serves as its mission statement, which targets an interdisciplinary program that upholds cultural understanding, globalization, communications and technology and overall well-being.
In the classrooms, children study music and learn to dance. It is a charter school in the East Village, a district mostly inhabited by minorities and hipsters, and most of its 420 Hispanic and black students come from deprived families.
Courtney Sale Ross is a New York patron. However, she is neither a prima donna nor a dilettante. She is a woman of steel and a woman who uses her wealth to bring opportunity and education to the masses, regardless of the challenges she confronts along the way.
Through her tireless contributions to the educational world, Courtney Ross continuously lives up to her motto of “Know Thyself in Order to Serve.”
